Angelique has over 27 years experience in the courtroom, having worked for Kalamazoo, Allegan and Calhoun counties as a prosecuting attorney and Kalamazoo County as a defense attorney. As a prosecutor, she presented complex trials and cases against multiple defendants, with an earned conviction rate of over 90%. Angelique is experienced in presenting evidence and witnesses such as police officers, victims, sexual assault nurse examiners, DNA experts, psychiatrists, ballistics experts, toxicologists, and pathologists. Her experience provides an exceptional foundation for a judgeship that will require quick, well-reasoned evidentiary decisions on the bench. With government and private practice, Angelique has knowledge of the Michigan Rules of Court, Michigan Rules of Evidence and court procedures to smoothly transition from attorney to your next 9th Judicial Circuit Judge.
